Cryptocurrencies have become a hot topic in 2021. We have seen a tremendous growth in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Many new investors wants to invest in the top 5 cryptocurrencies and in this article, we will make a list to help them know our thoughts.

These 5 coins in the order mentioned above is what I feel would be the top 5 crypto in 2021. The thoughts shared in this article is entirely mine and does not, by any means, is any financial advice.
Bitcoin
BTC will stay #1 crypto in 2021 and years to come. The dominance may decrease. However, as the per the market cap, BTC will continue to dominate Coinmarketcap and Coingecko.
Ethereum
It is just a matter of time for ETH to touch a trillion in market cap. With the rise of DEFI and NFTs and the launch of ETH 2.0 around the corner, it will continue to stay at #2.
BNB
With the launch of Binance Smart Chain, and Pancakeswap, the load on Ethereum network has reduced. Had there been no BSC, the gas fees would have been 200-300 USD per transaction. Transacting though Binance Smart chain is fast and super cheap. This should bring more usage and BNB for me should stay #3 for at least a year to come. Many believes that it would flip ETH in market cap, but this is unlikely to happen, according to me.
DOT
Everything on Polkadot is turning to be gold. You link anything to DOT, and the valuation goes boom. DOT is marketed as ETHEREUM killer. It seeks to incentivize a global network of computers to operate a blockchain on top of which users can launch and operate their own blockchains.
Uni
Uniswap is a decentralised exchange on Ethereum network. You can trade ERC20 coin on UNI though smart contract, if there is liquidity. It also has a governance token, UNI which is being used to vote to propose or make any changes in the current structure. Uniswap’s code is open sourced and can also be forked to create new exchanges. Sushiswap is a fork of Uniswap.
